PrintTestPage is a utility for troubleshooting printing problems (or wasting paper). If your printer is having problems, instead of opening a word processor, typing some random text, selecting print, clicking print in the Print dialog box, bypass all of that by simply double-clicking the PrintTestPage app. It quickly returns to the Finder, and watch your page (hopefully) come out of the printer. If it doesn't, adjust your settings and try again. Freeware- distribute it as you like, but include the ReadMe file that comes with it.
